Why is there so little collaboration between building culture and tourism? One important reason is probably that both disciplines work side by side, do not interact and each operate in their own networks. We want to change this! Our deep understanding of both disciplines allows to develop new approaches and holistic concepts to emerge, whereby synergies are exploited, dialogues are promoted, and mutual understanding strengthened. It is our goal that both disciplines mutually enrich each other and benefit from each other.
The BAUKULTOUR network developed from the federal study “Regional Building Culture and Tourism”, which we conducted together with our partner HJP Planer on behalf of the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR) in Germany.
